My trusted Telemark.
Its kept me warm and dry being worn daily over the past year. Last week while unloading a truck in the rain, I found myself rather soaked. Its time to reproof. If you would like to try this yourself, you will need the following:

- An hour of your day.
- One can of wax.
- A old white cotton shirt, cloth or handkerchief. Anything of color will probably run onto your jacket.
- Your girls best copper bottom pot.
- A surface you dont care getting waxy.
- Hair dryer (optional).

Clean your jacket with cold water and a sponge. Use a soft brush for heavily soiled parts. Soap will destroy it. let dry.

Royal Male has wax in stock at all times. One can has enough wax for one or two coats. Support local business.

Boil wax in that nice expensive pot until its clear and transparent.

Being to apply the wax to the jacket panel by panel. Pay special attention to the seams, going over them a few times, and areas of heavy use, such as the shoulders and upper back. wax a light coat instead of a heavy one. if you go to heavy the wax will bleed through onto the lining and onto your shirt.

You can use a hair dryer to get that factory finish. After its dried check your work for sections you have missed. The jacket will shed wax a bit just like when it was new, So dont sit on the couch. --home.
